A 3- Day Leadership Training to the Community was organized by the tourism department of National Trust for Nature Conservation-Annapurna Conservation Area Project on 17- 19 July, 2016 at Birethanti, Kaski.
The core objective of the training program was to enhance leadership capacity in the participants who were involved in different working sectors in Ghandruk, the southern belt of Annapurna Conservation Area.
The total participants were 24 in number from Conservation Area Management Committee, Tourism Sub Management Committee, Youth club, local financial institutions and woman group.
The facilitators were Ms. Rashmi Acharya, Tourism Officer of ACAP, Mr. Ananda Prasad Subedi, Administrative Assistant and Ms. Rajnee Gurung, Tourism Assistant from NTNC- ACAP, UCO Ghandruk.
The training was based on the participatory approach in which maximum interaction among the participants with sharing of individual ideas and views of the participants was done. Besides, lecture on power point slides, the training involved various training methods like energizers, evaluation, demonstration and group work.
The 3 day training came to an end after awarding prize to the winners who were ranked as the best in the individual speaking skill evaluation test organized on the last day and distributing certificates to all the participants by Mr. Lal Prasad Gurung, Project Director, NTNC- ACAP.
